Medimmune
Optrys designed an exciting, contemporary and dynamic office environment for Cambridge biotech firm Medimmune at Granta Park in Cambridge. We worked in close collaboration with the architects to ensure the best possible solution.
The building now proudly reflects all our hard work, effort and determination to make the project a success. We have, I believe created an excellent working space for our staff that is both a creative and practical working environment.
Design and fit-out
Optrys worked with biotech firm, Medimmune to design and fit-out a new office environment at their Granta Park location in Cambridge. We worked in close collaboration with the architects to ensure the best possible solution.
It was a significant sized project with a development budget of £450,000. The final solution featured provision for 248 workstations, 18 training and meeting rooms, a bistro area with seating for 78 people and a number of breakout areas.
Contemporary space
Our designers worked with Medimmune to design the space and to provide furniture and fittings that would inspire the workforce and increase motivation and ultimately, performance. The furniture and fittings provide a contemporary, modern look and feel and also offer functionality and dynamic performance. Optrys delivered on brief and on budget.
Workstation design
We worked closely with Medimmune's technical team to create a discrete cable management solution - all workstations include a sliding top solution with on-desk power modules to avoid trailing cables between workstations. The privacy and storage needs of individual workers were addressed with an imaginative solution.
